Clarity Consultant Care was established by a group of consultant surgeons who worked in private practise in the south of England who wanted to improve patient access to their services.

They could see developments in video conferencing technologies and web browsers and together with a growing number of patients that were increasingly comfortable with accessing services online, meant that there was scope for bringing patients to Consultants care much more quickly and conveniently. Clarity Consultant Care was designed to be user friendly for patients and also for the Consultant, as an enhancement to their practice that was easy to integrate and intuitive to use.

In the light of COVID-19, video consultations are preferable from a safety point of view and are fully supported by the NHS and health insurance companies to provide access to consultants at a time when even emergency and urgent treatments may be limited.
